October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The purpose of NDEAM is to educate the public about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of all workers with disabilities.

This year’s theme is “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.” In recognition of NDEAM, the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council wants to highlight stories of people with disabilities that have lived experience with competitive, integrated, and community-based employment.

If you have experience with community-based employment, and you would like to participate, please complete this survey. If you are selected, we will contact you prior to sharing your story on our website and Facebook page.

If you prefer to complete this survey over the phone, please call Travis Chapman at 517-284-7295 or send an email to ChapmanT5@michigan.gov to schedule a phone interview.
