Purpose of the Survey

The North Shore Tribal Council Aboriginal Skills and Employment Training Strategy Agreement (ASETS) and Manitoulin Island Mnidoo Mnising First Nations are interested in applying for special funding to run a community based Training to Employment opportunity through the Skills Partnership Fund of Employment and Social Development Canada.
 
A number of priority areas have been identified as needs for our NSTC ASETS and Mnidoo Mnising communities.  In order to engage in industry partnership discussions, it is important that we understand the training priorities of our community members.
 
This survey should take 10-15 minutes and will provide an opportunity for our member community clientele to have input into the selected training to employment initiative that is pursued under our funding proposal.  This will ensure a balance between the required industry demand, and our local labour force priorities.

As the Skills Partnership Fund focuses on industry driven partnership funding with targeted employment outcomes, a preliminary assessment of industry demand has been completed by NSTC ASETS, and the identified industries are what the survey focuses on.
 
The NSTC ASETS member communities we are seeking feedback from include:  Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, Garden River First Nation, Mississauga First Nation, Sagamok Anishnawbek, and Serpent River First Nation.  Mnidoo Mnising communities we are seeking feedback from include:  M'Chigeeng First Nation
