As part of its ongoing work with higher education on COVID-19 planning and mitigation, the Minnesota Department of Health has formed several workgroups. Made up of interested college staff, the workgroups have helped in various ways, including by generating ideas that the department has reviewed, incorporated into guidance, and then shared more broadly.

Three new workgroups formed in mid-January. They will focus on:
a) commencements, summer orientations and summer camps,
b) vaccination efforts in higher education, and
c) ideas for supporting strong faculty-student interaction with distance learning

A fourth workgroup is reconvening -- the one on culture change -- to consider COVID fatigue.

Volunteering to be part of a workgroup would involve connecting and collaborating with the other volunteers to consider the issues and whether there are strategies to share and propose. While the workgroups have already formed, college staff who are interested in still volunteering should share that interest by completing this survey and we'll pass your contact information onto the workgroups.
