2026 Annual Conference VOLUNTEER Sign-up Survey

MWEA is proud to celebrate 101 years, and this year’s Annual Conference is shaping up to a great one! As we continue building on more than a century of progress, the success of this event relies on the dedication and support of our volunteers. The conference brings together hundreds of professionals from across the water industry, and it would not be possible without the help of our committed members. Please consider volunteering to greet conference attendees, assist at the registration desk, or support the technical tracks and general sessions as a Moderator, Assistant Moderator, or Room Monitor. Your time and involvement help ensure a welcoming and successful experience for all who attend.

**We are also seeking NEW ideas/volunteers for activities! Could you lead a yoga class? How about mapping out a 5k path around Boyne for a morning fun run/walk? All ideas welcome and we will see how it can fit on the program.**

(main point of contact for presenters, responsible for introducing presenters)
*involves pre-conference work/communication
Note: must have been an assistant moderator in the past
Total need: 16 volunteers

Assistant Moderator/Technical Support of a track
(assist with Audio Visual, loading powerpoint, putting microphone on presenters)
Total need: 16 volunteers

Room Monitor of a track
(greet attendees, count people per presentation, help with CEC and evaluations as needed)
Total need: 21 volunteers

Meal Ticket collector
(all conference participants will have meal tickets for each buffet and will need to turn in their ticket)
Total need: up to 10 volunteers

Tour Guide for first-time attendees
(NEW for 2026 - you will help show around First-Time attendees during a time slot on Day 1)
Total need: up to 2 volunteers

Tuesday 6/16 PM (Beer and Wine Tasting Mixer/Fundraiser, and Exhibit night registration)

Wednesday 6/17 AM (Registration, opening session, technical tracks: Operations, Workforce Engagement, Case Studies, and Stormwater and Watershed)

Wednesday 6/17 PM (Technical tracks: Residuals and Biosolids, Research and Innovation, Collections, and Groundwater and Asset Management)

Thursday 6/18AM (Technical tracks: Research and Innovation, PUMP Stations, and Case Studies; and closing general session)

Yoga, 5k, nature hike, dance class, craft session, etc. Something around 30-60 minutes, for 10-20 attendees usually works well. We will consider all ideas and be in touch to see how we can incorporate them into the conference schedule.
