Welcome
Is there a tree you think is special and makes life just that bit better?
We know trees work very hard for us – for our health, our wellbeing, for biodiversity and for the appearance of our towns, villages and countryside.
Trees also matter to us for personal reasons, perhaps it's a family memory, a historical connection, or simply the beauty of their size and shape. Whatever your reason, this survey gives you the chance to share your favourite tree and help Epping Forest District Council's Countrycare team build a district-wide database of special trees.
Take part today! Help inspire others to appreciate the trees around them and celebrate the ones that matter to you and your community.
The top suggestions will become the new 50 Favourite Trees of Epping Forest district and be part of an exhibition at Epping Forest District Museum, Waltham Abbey later next year.
Entries close: May 2026.
Trees need to be in the district and on public land.
