Speaker Session Application Form

The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) invites you to share your expertise and contribute to quality legal education by submitting a proposal for a 60-minute general or breakout session at our 2027 Annual Conference. Sessions will be attended by a national audience of elder and special needs law practitioners seeking to expand their knowledge, exchange ideas, and strengthen their professional skills.
Session Criteria
The Annual Conference Planning Committee is seeking substantive, engaging programs that:
  • Explore innovative trends and recent developments in elder and special needs law
  • Help private attorneys deepen their expertise and strengthen their practice
  • Meet state bar CLE requirements
  • Are educational, not sales-focused
  • Sessions must be inclusive, respectful, and use person-first language, avoiding discrimination on the basis of gender, race, color, religion, physical ability, or sexual orientation
Submission and Selection
  • Sessions take place on Friday, May 7, 2027, and Saturday, May 8, 2027.
  • Presenters must be available on either day as assigned.
  • Submission of a proposal does not guarantee selection.
  • The Annual Conference Planning Committee will review all submissions and notify applicants once decisions are made.
  • Selected presenters will have 15 days to confirm participation and submit a speaker agreement.
  • By submitting a proposal, you agree that the session content will be appropriate, educational, non-sales oriented, and a true reflection of the description provided.
  • NAELA cannot guarantee session attendance.
  • Submitting a proposal is your opportunity to showcase thought leadership, gain visibility, and connect directly with a highly engaged audience of elder and special needs law attorneys.
By submitting my proposal, I/we agree to comply with the rules and regulations outlined within the above session criteria. If my/our session is accepted, I/we agree that the subject matter will be appropriate to the audience, educational, and not sales-oriented presentation about a product or service offered by my/our company.
