1. Spring Colt Season Overview
There are two facts you may have to reconcile this Spring. You love baseball and your high school baseball roster may not have room for you. Prior to this year if you didn't make your high school squad you likely had to wait until June to start playing baseball. This year is different.
If you love baseball and still want to play February thru May and get your reps and good instruction, then come play in the newly formed GBA Spring Colt Season. The Spring Colt season will begin the 3rd or 4th week in February with practice and instruction at the GBA's NEW Indoor Training Center. ( See the website for more info. ) The weekly sessions will continue through late April when some practices will shift outdoors to the GBA's newly cut 60/90 foot field Peck Farm #1.
Also some games will be played beginning in late April and all through May. Each week you may get a practice, a game or both. The season will end the last week of May in order to reconfigure teams for the summer season that runs June through July 30.
The projected fee for the League will be $195 per player.(There are no fundraising obligations.) The fee includes expenses related to training center rental, a few instruction sessions from a local professional baseball instruction service, as well as a cap, T-shirt and umps for the spring games.
