One of the focus areas in the Master Plan called for providing a new shared-use path at the best
location, and to better separate pedestrian from vehicle traffic. The comments collected in this survey
and at public meetings will influence refinements and selection of a preferred option. The preferred
option will be presented in a future public meeting.

Question Title

* 2. When you visit Point Defiance Park, what mode of transportation do you prefer to use (car, bicycle, walk, bus, et al)?

The 2015 Master Plan calls for a shared-use path to improve circulation for pedestrians and bicyclists.
A shared use path is a type of trail designed to be part of a transportation system that provides
off-road routes for a variety of users, primarily pedestrians and bicyclists. (*) At Point Defiance, it is
expected that high-speed bicyclists on road bikes will continue to use 5 Mile Drive as their primary
route. The shared-use path will cover approximately 3 miles. The following questions will gauge
