Accessible Transportation

Accessible Transportation

This survey is intended for parents and guardians of students with special needs such as limited mobility, and/or cognitive or emotional challenges identified by the school board, which require accommodations at the school and for safe transportation. Accessible Transportation refers to selection of the most appropriate mode of transportation, using required safety and restraining equipment, and implementation of other strategies that address each individual student's unique needs, triggers and mitigation to ensure a successful trip to and from school.

The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority provides safe, efficient and effective multi-modal transportation solutions for students of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board and the Ottawa Catholic School Board.  OSTA endeavours to integrate students with special needs on regular transportation modes as often as possible, while making accommodations for their physical safety and emotional/cognitive needs.  Your feedback will help OSTA better understand the impact our services have upon students and their family, with a goal to improve service delivery.
