Climate change poses significant threats to the physical, behavioral, and mental health of individuals and communities, as well as the delivery of healthcare services. Human morbidity and mortality rates are expected to rise due to extreme heat events and changing patterns of waterborne and vector-borne diseases, and healthcare infrastructure is at risk from extreme events. EcoAdapt is assessing the state of climate adaptation planning and implementation for climate-related threats to health in U.S. states.
This survey aims to assess the needs of health professionals working to prepare for and respond to multiple stresses, including climate change. The survey intends to assess understanding of climate change impacts among health professionals, and identify activities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from climate-related challenges.
The survey will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. For more information, please contact project lead, Rachel M. Gregg, at Rachel@EcoAdapt.org.
