The Graduate Caucus of NeMLA supports the work of all graduate student members of the association. This three member board organizes professional activities including roundtables and workshops, shares professionalization resources, recognizes academic excellence through the Graduate Student Paper Prize, supports graduate student travel through travel grants and the room/ride share boards, and encourages graduate student networking through social activities at the conference.

This election cycle, we have three open positions (President, Vice President, and Communications Director). We received several strong nominations for the Vice President position, one nomination for the role of President, and zero for the Communications Director position.

We propose to elect two candidates as co-Vice Presidents, who would jointly cover the duties of Communications Director and Vice President. We ask that you select two candidates for this position.

Membership on the Graduate Student Caucus is a 2-year commitment (3-years in the case of the President). Officers commit to attending the 2018 convention in Pittsburgh, PA and the 2019 convention in Washington, DC.
