Building Information Modeling Management MSc

14% of survey complete.

Hello,

I am a final year student in the BIMM MSc program at Middlesex University, London via Chicago. My thesis is looking at how BIM can be developed to address the unique challenges that exist in maintaining heritage assets. The 1st stage of the process was to discover common themes pertaining to BIM, Heritage, and ongoing maintenance.

The goal of this 2nd stage survey is to inform the development of a framework for a BIM based Typological Classification System. This system would be designed to enhance the knowledge and renovation of existing assets. It would also enable other recognized BIM benefits (e.g. reduction in time, cost savings, enhanced coordination of efforts). The goal is that by providing the Heritage sector a bespoke toolset, greater BIM adoption can occur, and continuing development spurred on.

Even if you have little to no experience with BIM your input is still valuable. By understanding better what your needs and concerns are we can help develop tools that make BIM more accessible to everyone

Please take a few minutes and complete this brief survey by March 31st, and forward it on to anyone else you may know! All responses are anonymous.

Your assistance with this project is greatly appreciated. For any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me

update - While the term "Heritage" is used here this survey is by no means limited to the UK. Please just think of it as historical, listed, heritage, or whatever the local vernacular is in your part of the world.

Thank You,
