Dear Research Survey Participant:

Speed to insight is a competitive advantage. In business intelligence (BI), online analytical processing (OLAP), analytics, and data integration and management, speed has been an important objective in the development of technologies and services. Innovations include self-service BI, visualization and analytics, offering greater ease of use; data virtualization; smarter data catalogs and metadata repository development; extract, transformation and loading (ETL), extract, loading, and transformation (ELT), data pipelines, and data preparation; and data integration and management. Another key innovation is data streaming and real-time analytics. The streaming data today often is from Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and machines.

This TDWI Best Practices Report will focus on how organizations can gain faster insights from faster data. This research survey asks a series of questions about various challenges, objectives, and technology usage that are relevant to gaining faster insight from faster data. We will look at organizational and process issues, such as adoption of DataOps and other methodologies as well as technology choices. Thank you in advance for your participation, and we look forward to your responses!
