DUE DATE: April 7th, 2015 Update: April 14th, 2015 (deadline has been extended by one week)

The overall purpose of the Newbold Neighbors Association (NNA) Microgrant program is to get the neighborhood more involved in developing and planning small projects that further the core values of NNA: improve public safety, beautify the neighborhood, support sustainable development, promote local businesses, provide greener streets, help reach new residents, and foster smart planning and zoning. The more of these goals a single project meets, the more likely it is to be funded!

The projects should:
1. be public (they can’t be on inaccessible private property like a backyard.)
2. be within the Newbold Neighbors Association geographical boundary (Broad to 18th, Washington to Passyunk.)
3. cost no more than $500. Cost effective projects that do more with less will be prioritized.
4. require funding that pays primarily for materials (additional donations are a plus.) Materials might include paint, wood, or other constructions materials, printing, postage, or supplies. The funding can pay for labor in circumstances where professional expertise is required, but projects using volunteer labor will be prioritized.

The applicants should:
1. be renters, owners, business owners, or organizations in the neighborhood.
2. abide by the values of NNA.
