We are running a photo contest and asking members to submit photographs portraying the rich culture and landscape of the communities we call home.

All photos submitted, must be taken in the area of Biggar, Landis, or Perdue, and cannot feature any people.

Biggar & District Credit Union will select photographs to print on canvas and display in the branches with no cost to the photographer. The photographs might also be used on social media, or in printed format, as needed.

Following the end of submission period, a "People's Choice" competition will be held on our social media allowing people to vote for their favourite photo. The photographer who took the "Peoples' Choice" photo, will win a prize valued at $100.

The photographer will relinquish all rights to the photo once it's submitted. Biggar & District Credit Union will credit the photographer by displaying and/or mentioning their name when their photograph is used in printed or digital format.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Photographs become the property of Biggar & District Credit Union once they are submitted.

1. This is a MEMBERS ONLY event. Any photos submitted by non-members will be excluded.
2. This promotion will run from Monday, February 2, 2026, to Friday, March 13, 2026 at noon. The promotion duration is subject to change without notice.
3. The chosen photographs will be printed on canvas and displayed at any of the Biggar & District Credit branches for an indeterminate amount of time. These photos may also be used in future social or print media campaigns, calendars, etc. Participants will be recognized by having their name displayed/mentioned whenever the picture is used.
4. To enter the contest, participants must complete the submission form. Participants must include their full name, a caption describing the photo, and the location the photo was taken.
5. High quality JPEG/JPG file format is preferred, in either horizontal or vertical format.
6. We are requesting photos that adhere to the following guidelines and stipulations:
  • Participants must have taken the photo or have the expressed consent of the photo taker to submit.
  • Photos cannot include people.
  • Photos must be taken in the local areas of Biggar, Landis and/or Perdue.
  • Photos cannot be AI generated.
7. Each participant can submit a maximum of 5 photos.
8. By entering the contest and submitting photos to Biggar & District Credit Union, members agree to the following terms and conditions:
  • Biggar & District Credit Union has the right to reproduce the photos to their discretion, including the format (digital or print).
  • Photographs become the property of Biggar & District Credit Union once they have been submitted.
9. Biggar & District Credit Union accepts no responsibility and will not be liable for entries that are not received, incomplete, late, misdirected or illegible for whatever reason, including without limitation, due to computer or other system interruption, malfunction, or breakdown of any kind or duration, network hacking or tampering.
10. Employees, directors and any family members living in their immediate household are eligible for this promotion.
11. Biggar & District Credit Union reserves the right, at its option, to publish or display the photographer’s name and photograph without compensation to the photographer.
