Title of Research: Effects of Specific Reading Strategies

Researchers: Jaclyn Marchaterre and Donna Kuzeczak: graduate students at the College of Saint Elizabeth: masters action research study is a degree requirement. 

Research Description: This action research will examine student's perceptions and motivation about reading. The study will include an online survey for students. This research will focus on 2 ICS 5th grade classes. The goal of the study is to identify student's perceptions of reading.

A. Provided me with a detailed explanation of the procedures to be followed in this study. As a participant I understand that :

- I will complete a survey that will take approximately 5 minutes in length. These questions were leveled from the review of literature.
- I will not be paid for my participation in this study.
-My confidentiality will be respected and pseudonyms will be used to protect my identity.
-My participation is voluntary, and I may withdraw my content and discontinue the project at any time. My refusal to participate will not result in any penalty.
 - By acknowledging this agreement, I understand that the researchers to not expect my participation in the study will hurt me in any way. For this reason, there is not plan to reimburse me for any costs that I might incur  as a result of participating in this study.
