Select five of the following key points that you feel should be ICAN's highest priorities in 2010. -establish more visibility (brochures, calling cards, posters, etc.) -increase internet presence -cross-promotion (post links to ICAN on other organizations’ sites) -create a database of Immigrant Social Enterprise Organization contacts -identify needs of and barriers to successful implementation of CED -share resources and information with new enterprises -create awareness on how linguistic divides and racism undermine success -use plain language to newcomers who may not understand sector “lingo” -clarification of who to target; newcomers or more established immigrants? -provide ICAN members concrete tools for advancement in CED initiatives -skill sharing among members through placements with other ICAN organizations -provide more learning opportunities; ex. share stories, activities, resources, etc. -organize workshops on how to successfully use social economy and CED models -workshops on the complexities and sensitivities of working with newcomers -involve key actors from communities and government to ensure knowledge transfer and language of social economy and CED remains accessible and reaches policy-makers -generate revenue through workshops, communication materials, etc. -ISISE continuation as primary approach; some of these priorities can be integrated into the proposal for the next phase.
