Sacred Site Visits and Interfaith Dinners

Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice’s Interfaith Community Building initiative is sponsoring a new program: Sacred Site Visits and Interfaith Fellowship. Throughout 2019, we will offer a series of Sacred Site visits to houses of worship/faith communities. These visits will include a tour of the worship space and a talk by a faith leader of that community where they will share with us the main teachings of their faith, their holidays, rituals, sacred texts, and worship. In some cases, we will be able to observe their worship services.

In addition to attending the Sacred Site Visits, participants will also have the opportunity to gather in small groups (cohorts) after each Site Visit to share a meal, discuss what was learned in the Site Visits, and get to know each other. We will assign each of you to a cohort of 8 adults, based on your answers to the questions below and with the intention of building diverse groups who did not previously know each other. Each cohort group will stay together throughout the year, in order to facilitate deeper relationship building. Cohort members will take turns hosting the meal.
