September 11 National Day of Service

In observance of the federally-recognized September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, known today as "9/11 Day," we dedicate time to help others in the spirit of service, unity and peace.

Here's how you can get involved:

1. Starting September 1, visit 911day.org. There will be a list of over 50 “good deeds” you can do for 9/11 Day. These include great ideas for families with children. Think of these ideas as thought-starters. Feel free to plan your own good deeds based on your interests.

2. Perform your deed. We encourage you to perform your good deed or service project on 9/11 itself, but you can do it anytime in September (preferably).

3. Share your deeds! Complete this online reflection form and the Volunteer Center will send you a thank you item for your good deed.
