Osgoode Youth Association Needs Assessment - Programming for Youth in Grades 2 - 12

Community Members of Osgoode,

The Osgoode Youth Association (O-YA) is doing a Community Needs Assessment in Osgoode. Our focus is on children, youth and the programs O-YA offers.

We know that many of you are already involved in O-YA or generously donate to our programs. We are sincerely grateful to the community of Osgoode for your ongoing support.

The Mission of the Osgoode Youth Association is to enrich the quality of life for youth in Grades 2 - 12 in rural south Ottawa. We are dedicated to harnessing our community to deliver a rich variety of programs aimed at social recreation, skill building, leadership, mental health, 2SLGBTQIA+ and allies, healthy relationships, physical activity and culture; supporting young people in their development as successful, independent and involved citizens.

Why are we doing this? Osgoode is continuously growing and since the pandemic we have seen a shift in the way families and youth want to access services. We want to do a community check-in to ensure we are serving the community the best we can and are doing our mandate and vision justice.

This is a big project and we need your support with the process. You can help by completing this online survey that should take no longer than 5 minutes.

Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary. For each question, there is a Prefer Not to Answer option.

Your individual responses are confidential. At the end of the survey, you are welcome to voluntarily enter your e-mail into a draw for the chance to win a $50 No Go Coffee Gift Card. The e-mails collected will only be used for the purpose of the draw and to be added to O-YA's mailing list (which you can opt out of anytime!) and will not be shared with any other organizations.

Additionally, if you are interested in contributing more to this Community Needs Assessment process, please connect with Carley Scharf via e-mail at carley@o-ya.ca to join the mailing list for information about upcoming focus groups.

Many thanks!
Carley Scharf, Executive Director, Osgoode Youth Association
