Community Outreach Survey

Jesus has such a compassion and love for everyone.  We see evidence of such through out his life.  One example is found in Matthew 9:35-37:

Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. “What a huge harvest!” he said to his disciples. “How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!”

At conference last year, the Interest Committee for Communications urged the Track and Communication Council to survey SDB Churches on the multitude of ways they communicate and connect with their respective communities.  For example:  One church donated the book “The History of Seventh day Baptists” to all the public libraries in their city."

The idea is to gather and share how our various churches communicate and market in their local area. Then compile the information in a format which can be shared with all the churches.

Our hope is you would take a few minutes to complete this short survey and share how your local church reaches out to the community.  We would love to learn what you have done that worked well, what may not have worked so well, and the lessons learned.
1.How does your church reach out to your community?
2.How long have you done this program/method of outreach?
3.As you have developed your program, how has it changed since it’s conception?
4.Please any “lessons learned” that you have found as the program has progressed.
5.Has your church tried a program in the past that was less than effective?
6.How have you applied any lessons learned to your current outreach or how do you plan on applying lessons learned to future outreach efforts?
