Dreams and Dreaming |
Exhibition Information
Show Dates: 4/8/2026 - 5/17/2026
Exhibition Reception: 5/9/2026, 2:00pm-4:00pm
Dreams are a powerful part of our shared human experience, and the search to find meaning within them has been an artistic venture since time immemorial. Indeed, throughout history, artists from around the world have turned to dreams for inspiration for some of their most moving works. For this non-juried community exhibition, we invite artists of all ages and experience levels to share works which explore the concept of dreams and dreaming. Artists may approach this topic from any perspective. Examples for inspiration include: illustrating a dream you once had, exploring a popular recurring dream type, depicting a daydream, reimagining a popular dream artwork, reflecting on how various cultures have interpreted dreams throughout history, examining the scientific processes behind dreaming, and so much more. All mediums are welcome. We hope to see your work this spring! Dream big!
The exhibition will be displayed in The Museum's Higgins Education Wing exhibition space and will be free and open to the public.
