Who can apply

We are looking for anyone aged between 16 and 25 who is involved, or wants to be involved, with their local headspace centre and is passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. You may have experienced mantal health issues yourself; have a family or friend who has mental health issues; or just be passionate about getting involved in your local community.

The Youth Reference Group exists to ensure young people’s voices and opinions remain front and center in everything we do at headspace Queanbeyan.

hsQ YRG meets once a month usually on Thursday evenings from 5.30-7pm, and has a range of other activities you can get involved in.

Further information about our YRG can be found on our website or have a look through our Facebook/Instagram to see examples of previous YRG activity. You are also welcome to contact our Community Engagement Coordinator Nat with any questions via nat.oliver@marathonhealth.com.au or (02) 5131 1500

The YRG is particularly keen to hear the voices of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander young people, young people from different cultural backgrounds, young people from rural and remote areas, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender young people and young people who have been homeless.
