Participant Intake Form - Virtual (March 2025-April 2025)

Thank you for your interest in our sign study titled Comprehension and Legibility of Selected Signs Phase V

Below is a quick summary of the study:
  • We will be conducting research virtually via Zoom and Microsoft Teams through March 2025.
  • Overall, the study will take about 30 minutes, and pays $20.
  • We are conducting this study for the Federal Highway Administration.
  • Research participants must be 18 years old and have a valid US driver’s license.
  • When you join the call we will have you review and sign an Informed Consent document (indicating you agree to participate).
  • If you wear glasses/contacts while driving, you will also be asked to wear them for the study.
  • Then, you will be shown different images of signs that may be used on roadways throughout the country. You will be asked questions about the signs that you view. Instructions will be provided before you begin.
  • We often conduct these studies to get a better idea of what signs are understood by drivers, and what signs are most effective – it is NOT an evaluation of how much you know or don’t know, but rather to help us determine which signs should be used on roadways.
