ASHM has been funded by ACT Health to offer a limited number of scholarships to attend the HIV Coinfection + Viral Hepatitis Elimination 2023 conference. These scholarships are available to community s100 hepatitis B prescribers (GP/NP/Primary care) who work and are based in ACT.
It is expected that this survey will take 6 minutes to complete.
The conference will be held on Friday 21 July - Saturday 22 July 2023 in Brisbane.
Scholarship criteria
Scholarships will be made available to clinicians actively involved in management and treatment of chronic hepatitis B. Clinicians must be based in and work in NSW, ACT or QLD to be eligible for a scholarship.
Priority will be given to applicants who have not attended a viral hepatitis conference in Australia before.
All applicants must complete the application truthfully and advise ASHM if their situation changes. All scholarship holders may be asked to report back from the conference (according to specific guidelines).
Scholarship exclusions
Scholarship applicants will be excluded if they have access to the following:
- Funds from a research grant to cover attendance at this meeting
- Access to TESL OR an equivalent professional development fund
- Funding from a pharmaceutical or other industry partner
- Financial support from your employer

ACT scholarship recipients will receive registration for the conference only. General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Infectious Disease Registrars, Sexual Health Registrars, and GP Registrars from the ACT and surrounds are eligible for a scholarship.
Please Note: Reimbursements cannot be provided for registration that has been already paid for. We will book and pay for these directly to the supplier on your behalf to fulfil the requirements of the grants.
