Six Points Neighborhood Node Plan:
Per Resolution No. 2025-R015 city departments will work collectively with the City Planning Commission to prepare an amendment to the City's Master Plan, Richmond 300: A Guide for Growth, that updates the Vision and Primary Next Steps for the Six Points Neighborhood Node to create strategies for a vibrant, well-connected, neighborhood-serving, commercial center. Building on previous engagement efforts and the community engagement of the creation of Richmond 300, the Technical Assistance Panel performed by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) in July 2024 made recommendations to pay greater attention to land use, transportation, and economic development strategies. The action items identified in the resolution included:

-Encouraging neighborhood-serving commercial.
-Redeveloping vacant and underutilized properties.
-Prioritizing pedestrian and multimodal safety, access, convenience, and connectivity.
-Empowering community members to execute placemaking and branding strategies through local partnerships.
-Zoning for and incentivizing mix of uses within the node.
-Installing necessary infrastructure to accommodate increased residential development.
