    • May be asked to attend a State Central Committee meeting on occasion
    • The chair of the committee will provide formal report on committee quarterly at in person State Central Committee meeting.
  • Description
    • The Affiliate Development and Outreach Committee is responsible for grassroots-level contact between the Libertarian Party of Iowa and the public at large. These responsibilities include creating and maintaining useful contacts and coordination with volunteers, county affiliates, and like-minded groups and organizations across Iowa. The committee will also work on recruiting key demographics into the party, building coalitions with like-minded groups, and coordinating outreach events
  • Responsibilities of Political and Public Policy Committee
    • Affiliate Development
      • Responsible for recruit and mentor volunteers to establish and develop county affiliates, student organizations, and libertarian-minded coalitions across the state
      • Work with District Representatives to support currently active affiliates in growing their respective county parties
      • Develop training for new leaders to teach best practices with a focus on recruitment and impact of the new affiliates
    • Coordinating Volunteers
      • Utilizing the party database and other tools to recruit and organize volunteers across Iowa
      • Leverage strengths of Libertarian Party of Iowa volunteers and train them based on party needs
      • Maintain consistent communication with volunteers to keep them up to date and engaged with party business
    • Organize Community Outreach
      • Identify and target new demographics who would have a high likelihood to be interested in the Libertarian Party
      • Work with organizations who are focused on specific issues that are aligned with the party platform such as gun rights, pro-legalization, criminal justice reform, etc
      • Help local affiliates in organizing rallies, charity, and other community events to encourage community involvement
