Purpose: The City of Harrisonburg is updating its zoning ordinance and zoning map. This survey seeks public feedback on the proposed ordinance and proposed zoning map, which may be reviewed online, at a project open house, or by visiting the Department of Community Development at City Hall, 409 South Main Street, 2nd Floor. Estimated time: Most respondents can complete the survey in approximately 15 minutes if they answer only the multiple-choice questions. The estimated time does not include time spent reviewing the proposed zoning ordinance, zoning map, or supporting materials. The text box questions invite detailed feedback, comments, or questions about specific portions of the proposed zoning ordinance. To respond meaningfully, participants should review the relevant proposed ordinance language before completing those questions. The time required will therefore vary based on the number of sections reviewed and the level of detail provided.
