You are invited to join Consumer Action for a free, in-person roundtable that will help you understand the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and how to avoid penalties; new protections for businesses against telemarketing fraud and AI-enabled scam calls; and how to protect your business’s data and customer personal information against identity theft. We'll also be unveiling two new TCPA- and ID theft publications to help business owners and those who work with people starting new businesses understand their responsibilities under the TCPA and be prepared to protect their data from fraud and scams. This training is designed for small business owners, chambers of commerce, and agencies that help consumers start small businesses in the Fresno and greater Central Valley area and surrounding region. You’ll also learn about a financial education mini-grant program that participants will be eligible to apply for.
