Introduction – What is the Purpose of this Survey?

The City’s current Official Community Plan was adopted in 2018, which identified the desire to have Neighbourhood Plans developed for newly incorporated areas into the City. Neighbourhood Plans help identify the various elements of a neighbourhood in a new area, including where new development will go, what services are needed, what types of land uses will be developed, where green space and parks should go, and how people will move around.

The Neighbourhood Plans will be developed over several phases in 2020. One of the first phases is to engage community members and neighbourhood residents in identifying how we want to shape the future of the neighbourhoods. We’d like to hear what your future vision for these neighbourhoods in Fort St. John is.

There are 3 parts to this survey. Part A contains general questions aimed at understanding community priorities. Part B contains questions specific to the East 86th Street Neighbourhood Plan. Part C contains questions specific to the Swanson Lumber Road Neighbourhood Plan.

Please complete Part A and feel free to fill out either Part B, Part C, or both. Thank you for your participation!
