The MNAAP is thrilled to be accepting applications for our annual grant opportunity, dedicated to supporting child health equity initiatives across Minnesota. This grant is designed to empower healthcare providers from all backgrounds and practice settings—including rural, urban, academic, and private practices—to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of Minnesota’s youngest residents.
Who Should Apply?
We invite pediatric healthcare providers and healthcare trainees from every corner of the state to submit their proposals. Whether you work in a small rural clinic, a bustling urban hospital, an academic medical center, or a private practice, your unique perspective and commitment to child health equity are valued and needed.

Eligible applicants include:
- Pediatricians and pediatric healthcare teams
- Residents, fellows, and medical students
- Interdisciplinary teams working in child health
- Providers from all practice settings: rural, urban, academic, and private

Grant Details
- Annual Award Amount: Up to $4,500 per project
- Purpose: To support local projects that advance health equity in pediatric care
- Scope: Projects may focus on clinical care, community engagement, education, advocacy, or innovative approaches to reducing health disparities among children
- Deadline to apply: September 1, 2026
Support and Recognition
Awardees will receive:
- Quarterly check-ins with a MN AAP chapter representative for guidance and support
- The opportunity to present their project outcomes at the MNAAP chapter meeting or the Twin
Cities Pediatric Update annual conference, sharing successes and lessons learned with peers statewide
