1. Instructions - Ngā Tohutohu

E te hunga taiohi, maranga mai, kōrero mai. Tēnā koutou, tēnā tātou.

Young people, rise up, speak. Greetings to you, greetings everyone.

Pope Francis wants to hear from young people and has asked us to ask you!  We would like to hear from all young people, whether you feel closely connected to the Church or not.

He's asking us to listen to the young in our regions before he calls together a meeting, or Synod, next year in Rome to examine how the Church can lead and work with young people.

Pope Francis wants to hear directly from you -  "your voice, your sensitivities, and your faith - even your doubts and criticism."

The Synod is particularly aimed at those aged 16 - 29. If you know people who would be willing to respond please pass this survey on.  The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete.  For those outside of this age bracket, who are working in the Church and/or with youth there is a separate Youth Leadership survey.

We will need to receive your replies by 27 August 2017. Thank you in advance for taking the time to make your voice heard.

Cardinal John Dew, Bishop Patrick Dunn, Bishop Colin Campbell, Bishop Charles Drennan, Bishop Steve Lowe, and Fr Rick Loughnan
This survey is anonymous and you cannot be identified from these survey answers as they do not contain any identifying information. By submitting the survey you are agreeing to have your opinion recorded and used in future planning by the New Zealand Catholic Bishops.
