Consent Form
I,Mark A. Durkee, am a doctoral student at American Public University, (APUS) and with the guidance of my instructor, Dr. James Burch, I have been approved by the APUS Institutional Review Board to conduct research on expertise in the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. This research will be used for a capstone dissertation on expertise in the intelligence enterprise. No deception is involved, and the study involves no more than minimal risk to participants (i.e., the level of risk encountered in daily life).
You are invited to participate in this research project because you are or were an all-source intelligence analyst in the Defense Intelligence All-Source Analysis Enterprise
Your participation in this research study is voluntary. If you decide not to participate, you will not be penalized. However, if you decide to participate, you may withdraw from the study at any time without adverse consequences. You may choose to skip any questions you do not wish to answer.
Participation in the study typically takes 30 minutes and is anonymous. Participants will complete an online survey. When data is reported, responses from individual participants will not be identified. Data will be reported describe reporting of results by indicating trends.
All data is stored in a password-protected electronic format and may be shared with my instructor, Dr. Burch.
Data will be stored in the above stated manner for a period of five years as per APUS’s rules and regulations. You have the right to request your data be deleted, unless anonymous, at any time during this period.
