Join Us in Honoring Our SW Washington Early Learning Champions
Friends of EOCF’s Seventh Annual Early Learning Champions Award Luncheon will recognize seven champions in the categories listed below for their individual and corporate commitment and leadership for early childhood education for children birth to age five within Clark County, Pacific County, and the Woodland School District portion of Cowlitz County.
1. Community Early Learning Champion
Eligible Recipient:  An individual or organization that provides leadership in championing the cause of early learning (Individuals may be from any community early learning agency’s staff, parent policy council or board)
* * Awardee will have demonstrated considerable public advocacy for early learning locally and beyond

2. Community Early Learning Staff Person of the Year
Eligible recipient:  Any early learning agency staff member working in the geographical areas above
* * Must have provided exemplary services over a significant period of time
* * Must have demonstrated qualities of excellence in the service they provide (including positive role modeling for children, leadership and/or modeling or mentoring for other staff regardless of nominee’s position) 

3. Community Early Learning Volunteer of the Year
Eligible Recipient:  Any person with demonstrated exceptional commitment to the cause of early learning through direct volunteer service to young children or voluntary service to agencies that serve young children
* * Duration, quality, and impact of the volunteer service are criteria for determining the award winner

4. Community Partner
Eligible Recipient:  A community partner organization/corporation demonstrating exemplary support for early learning. This award will likely go to an organization (public or non-profit) that professionally collaborates with early learning providers.

5. Community Outstanding New Professional
Eligible Recipient:  A person with demonstrated exceptional commitment to early learning within the past 2-7 years of employment
* * Demonstrates a strong commitment to community service and networking beyond professional responsibilities
* * Demonstrates the willingness to be mentored; shows promise as an emerging leader in the community; and partners with individuals and agencies to strengthen the early learning community
* * Believed to have a long term commitment to the early learning community

6. EOCF Business Partner (reserved for EOCF)
Eligible Recipient:  EOCF event sponsors or vendors (financial institutions, product/service vendors, other businesses) who provide products and/or services to EOCF.
* * Provides significant support to EOCF including components of in-kind, vendor discounts, and/or volunteer hours
* * Has a record of advocacy for EOCF and for early learning in the community.

7. Alan Ham Leadership (named in honor of the first board chairperson of EOCF. All community members are eligible.) 
Eligible Recipient: A person who has significantly provided leadership and service to the early learning community with their personal and/or corporate commitment of time, talent and treasure
