Are you a refugee who wants to help rebuild your home country? Do you work with refugees or internally displaced people?
Register your interest now and join the mailing list for Refugees as Re-Builders™ (RRB), to keep informed about all our upcoming courses and events.

Refugees as Re-Builders™ (RRB) is an active programme for settled diaspora refugees’ leaders and professionals originating in war torn regions of the world. Our training courses have been designed to strengthen the capability and expertise participants already possess as rebuilders, providing them with the resources and practical tools needed to help serve their communities and
countries of origin.

RRB aims to empower you to contribute to your country of origin and/or diaspora community, by giving you access to knowledge and skills that you may not  otherwise receive through academic studies or work experience.

The RRB course covers three interconnected modules:
  • Dialogue for Social Cohesion: learning how to listen to understand, ask meaningful questions and engage in constructive dialogue.
  • Ethical Leadership for Just Governance: defining inner leadership styles and values in order to be a role model for your community.
  • Sustainable Livelihood for Resilience: opening minds to potential routes to economic and environmental sustainability.
These modules are offered at three levels:
  • Foundation: Introducing Skills
  • Intermediate: Developing Skills
  • Advanced: Applying Skills
Participants begin at Foundation Level, with the opportunity to progress through to Intermediate and Advanced. Following the conclusion of the Advanced Level, alumni of the Refugees as Re-Builders course will have the chance to receive continued advice and support as part of our Community of Practice (CoPrac) platform.

Each level of the course lasts for approximately 10 weeks. Learning sessions take place on Saturdays and last for approximately 6 hours (including a lunch break). RRB training courses take place both online (via Zoom), and in-person at the Initiatives of Change centre in London.

If you register your interest in the RRB programme, you will be contacted as soon as dates for a new course are confirmed, and invited to submit an application to join the training (or to share the information with those in your network).
