1. PART 1 – Member Information

Boozhoo, Aanii,

Did you know, seven Sustainable Forest Licensees harvest and manage the forests of the traditional territories of Brunswick House First Nation, Missanabie Cree First Nation, and Chapleau Cree First Nation? This includes road construction, maintenance, and forest renewal with aerial herbicide spray still occurring. The Lands and Resources Department of MCFN, with the support of Wahkohtowin Development GP Inc. want to engage with the community, to discuss the potential impacts of forest management activities and work with you to help prevent, lessen and/or remedy negative impacts to our community values.

This survey will serve to help your Lands and Resources Department of MCFN understand how best to engage with community members, now during this time of Covid-19 restriction and going forward.

A prize draw will be held March 17, 2021 for those participants who have completed the survey. 1st place $300 Visa card, 2nd place $150 Visa card, and 3rd place $50 Visa card.

Watch for further information at https://www.missanabiecreefn.com/lands-and-resources-1

A similar survey is being conducted in neighboring First Nation communities to have a single approach to how we manage our lands and protect or traditional territories.
