ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
-University degree is strongly preferred, preferably with a focus on business, human resources, or health sciences.
-Knowledge of recruitment and retention techniques and practices including experience in promotional and marketing techniques.
-Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Hospital Information Systems, particularly Cerner, as well as competence with other technological applications is an asset.
-Proven ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and orally, with strong interpersonal skills.
-Experience working with physicians and professional staff (midwives, dentists, nurse practitioners) is an asset.
-Knowledge of salary, benefit administration plans and the administration of both, including Physician Specialist contracts.
-Ability to understand, interpret, apply and communicate a wide variety of health care, financial, privacy and general administration, legislation, policies, protocols and processes.
-Experience in a hospital environment preferred.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)
-Providing support of the credentialing and medical staff applications/reapplications process
-Assisting with Cerner HIS training to CKHA physicians
-Supporting physician human resources planning for all departments
-Overseeing medical staff recruitment and physician retention for CKHA
-Supporting orientation for all physicians
-Attend career fairs, recruitment fairs and trade show events as needed
-Schedule and coordinate site visits, interviews, tours, etc with candidates
