BlackWrights is ILBIJERRI Theatre Company’s writers’ development program aimed at bringing new First Nations work to the stages of Australia. The program will create a culturally safe and nurturing space that will empower First Nations artists to share our stories through theatre.
This intake of the program spans from August 2020 to July 2021. The following Creators Program application form has two streams:
The Writers Program is a paid opportunity to develop your work with intensive support from ILBIJERRI and your own dramaturg over 12-months.
The Dramaturg Program is a paid opportunity to see you develop and practice your dramaturgical skills with support from Kamarra Bell-Wykes and ILBIJERRI. You will be working with a Writers Program writer as dramaturg with professional development opportunities by Louise Gough and Patricia Cornelius.
Successful applicants must attend the 3 Master Labs, 2 Creative Developments and Presentation.
All must fill out the first page of the application. Then, follow through to your stream of choice. Complete the survey twice to apply for both streams.
Closing date is Friday 10 July.
