What is this about?
When some children have a poorly liver, their muscles can get weaker and they can catch more germs. We want to find out why, so we can help children feel stronger and healthier.
Children in our study would play some games to see how strong they are, lie still for a quick picture of their body, and breathe normally under a clear hood. We would take a little extra blood when they are already having a blood test, so there are no extra needles. If the child was having a liver operation, the doctors would take a tiny piece of muscle while they are asleep, so it wouldn't hurt at all.
We haven't started yet. We want to know what you think first!
