High Speed Rural Corridor Alternative

This alternative maintains the existing 55 mph speed limit, while providing signal and j-turn intersections to optimize through-traffic efficiency on Highway 10 and reduce the number of intersections along the route. Four lanes on Highway 10 and a depressed median are provided with wide shoulders and ditches. The rural section and high design speed requires realignment of Highway 10 near Highway 43.
High Speed Rural Corridor Alternative Map

Signalized Corridor Alternative

This alternative operates under a 45 mph speed limit. It allows for more access points and intersections along Highway 10 and uses a mix of two-way stops and traffic signal-controlled intersections. Highway 10 would be expanded to four lanes, with a raised concrete median, curb and gutter, as well as boulevard space and a multi-use trail near the road.
