7.The Harvey staff members care about the students and  treat students fairly and respectfully.
8.If the students have a problem they can't solve on their own, they know they can go to a Harvey staff member (e.g. teacher, counselor, administrator, etc.) for help.
9.Students at Harvey are taught the rules and expectations for behavior. (Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful)
10.Parents and families are informed about the rules and expectations for student behavior.
11.Students are glad and proud to come to Harvey Elementary School most of the time.
12.Parents and families who visit the school are welcomed and treated with respect.

15.The Harvey Society Philosophy is as follows:

Harvey Society will cultivate and develop thinkers and leaders.  We will practice community service, which will teach students what they can do right now to make the world they live in a better place and give students opportunities to become life-long, caring and productive citizens.

The Harvey Society includes many components such as Accelerated Reader Club, Harveyville Recycling Center, Harveyville Post Office, Harveyville Junior Librarians, Harveyville UIL Academies to name a few.  Students learn respsonsiblity, speaking skills and the importance of being a leader in their positions.   What are your thoughts about our new Harvey Society initiative?
