Have your say on a new model for responding to mental health emergencies in the community

NSW Health are seeking input to develop a model for responding to Triple Zero (000) calls about mental health emergencies in the community. Australians for Mental Health will make a submission to NSW Health, but we also want feedback from around the country on how everyone thinks these situations should be handled.

Currently, a significant number of Triple Zero (000) emergency calls are directed to police to respond. We want to make sure people experiencing a mental health emergency get the right help, at the right time, and from the right service.

Australians for Mental Health believe in collective responses to the mental health crisis. Every one of us carries a powerful story about mental health in our own lives or in the lives of the people we love, and this is why we believe your feedback is so important.
If this survey raises any distress for you, we encourage you to stop the survey and seek support.
