Demographic Data

MAJ is committed not only to the preservation of civil justice in Maryland, but also to advancing, expressing and celebrating the diversity of its membership in our advocacy, outreach and educational efforts.

We are asking each existing member, and each new member, to voluntarily identify all dimensions of diversity to which they feel they belong, and with which they self-identify.

The survey has been reviewed by the MAJ Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. The data categories comport with those used under Federal and State law. You DO NOT need to respond to ANY or ALL of these questions if you do not wish to do so; we understand and appreciate that the issues raised by such questions are deeply personal.  Please understand that we ask only that you answer if you wish to do so.

The purpose of this information will be to make certain that we’re aware of, and attentive to, the needs, perspectives and ideas of attorneys in or associated with these categories and to make certain that our educational and outreach programs represent the diversity of our membership. The information you provide will be used for internal purposes only; it will not be shared with any outside vendors.

Thank you very much for entrusting this information to our care. We hope that you understand this effort is designed to be consistent not only with the ideals of our organization and of the causes that we serve, but also with the continued vitality, growth and health of our organization now and into the future.
