For many of the challenges we face, we need as much unity and coordination as possible. Your participation is vital to Cinema Untied's success as an association. As a member of Cinema Untied, you can participate in shaping our policies and our approaches to our industry's challenges.

Several Cinema United groups are always open to all or most Cinema United members, depending on factors such as company size, areas of operation, and age. We welcome you to join those groups by filling out the form below.

Cinema Operations Working Group: Provides a forum for discussion and information exchange focused on movie theater operations best practices, including safety, security, building codes, and more.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community: Aims to increase diversity within Cinema United's volunteer base and in participation at Cinema United events; promotes diverse, equitable, and inclusive hiring within Cinema United member companies; and advocates for greater diversity and representation in film product.

Independent Theatre Owners Coalition: Provides a forum for discussion and information exchange between independent theater owners/operators.

Technology Community: Monitors technologies for sight, sound, accessibility, and delivery for theaters. The group gathers reports from members for upcoming changes to the technology of the theaters. Reports are made to members on status and implications of technologies so Cinema United members can make informed decisions.

Young Members Community: Encourages young employees—defined for these purposes as being 40 years old and under—in our industry to feel more connected through education initiatives, social events, and surveys.
