Weston Community Growth and Change Survey

The Village of Weston is updating its Comprehensive Plan, which guides its long-range growth, development, and preservation. The current Comprehensive Plan is located here: https://westonwi.gov/329/Comprehensive-Plan. Weston has surveyed its residents on a variety of topics over the past few years; this survey is focused on understanding preferences for future community growth and change.

The survey is estimated to take about 15 minutes to complete. Please complete by May 15, 2026.
1.What one, two, or three words would you use to describe Weston as a community today?
Before responding to the next questions, please consider the following information:
  • Since 2010, the Village of Weston’s population increased by around 1,100 people, from 14,868 in the year 2010 to 15,944 in 2025.
  • Since 2010, about 50 new housing units were built each year, after more rapid development in the 1990s and 2000s.
  • In 2020, the largest 5-year age group in Weston was between 55 and 59 years old, and about 28% of all homes had someone 65+ years or older—about double from 2010.
  • In 2025, Zillow reported Weston’s median existing home sale price of about $287,000. Most new house + lot combinations cost $425,000 or more.
  • About 61% of all housing units in the village are owner-occupied. The rest are rentals.
  • Per a 2022 housing assessment, 30% of Weston households (including 45% of renter households) spend more than 30% of their income on housing costs.
