Special Assessment November 2023
1.
Our actual legal expenses in 2023 have exceeded our budget by $5,564.31
The expenses are all related to a dispute between one member and both boards regarding violations of our bylaws and city fire codes. We were forced to present a legal defense when the disgruntled member filed charges against the board president. Those charges were dismissed in court for lack of merit.
We propose a special assessment for the 2023 expenses which would be due by December 31. That requires 60% approval from the 26 members.
If not approved, the 2023 expenses will be added to our 2024 assessments in twelve installments.
