2.The Intersection of HIV/AIDS and Domestic Violence Training of Trainers Registration
2nd Intersection of HIV/AIDS and Domestic Violence Training of Trainers
Monday, July 29, 2013 (8:30am-5pm)
Tuesday, July 30, 2013 (8:30am-5pm)
NNEDV's national Training of Trainers on the Intersection of HIV/AIDS and domestic violence is open to 21 states and territories. Each state/territory should be represented by the state/territory domestic violence coalition trainer and a trainer from an HIV/AIDS organization in your state or territory.
This training of trainers will focus on building a partnership between the coalition and a HIV/AIDS program in the same state. Together, the coalition and HIV/AIDS program will obtain information to take back to their state to train on the intersection of domestic violence and HIV/AIDS and develop a plan of action to roll out trainings in their state. Attendees will learn about domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, the intersection of the two, and building partnerships in communities in their state.
The registration will be closed after we reach our registration limit. Please be sure to complete both the coalition's and HIV trainer's registration information in order to receive registration confirmation. Only completed registrations will be accepted. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. We do anticipate the training filling up quickly. The deadline for registering is June 21st.
Both the coalition trainer and the HIV/AIDS organization trainer need to complete this registration. The domestic violence trainers information is on pages 2 and 3 and the HIV/AIDS trainers information is on page 4 and 5.
NNEDV will pay for airfare or mileage up to $500 and 3 nights of lodging per trainer for this training.
If you need help in identifying an HIV/AIDS organization to partner with, please email dvhiv@nnedv.org.
We will confirm the first 15 states and territories as soon as the registration is received. All other registrations will be put on a waiting list. If you don't hear from NNEDV within two business days of registering, please contact Ashley Slye directly at aslye@nnedv.org or 843-410-9656.
