Unapologetically Woman Award Nominations

Community Action Council is proud to launch Unapologetically Woman, a tribute to Kentucky women who are on a mission to transform our communities.

Unapologetically Woman celebrates the accomplishments of Kentucky women who inspire, lead, and forge the way for others. They make no apologies for their perspective and give of themselves---their skills, talent or experiences, making an impact by lifting up our neighbors and advancing our communities. It’s not just about one day or one month — it’s about what they do, day in and day out, making a difference for someone else. This celebration will help shine a light on the trailblazing efforts of women from a variety of community sectors.

Selected honorees will receive a Certificate of Award and recognition on our social media platforms, and will be invited to appear as a guest of our broadcast. Once we are able to gather again in-person, honorees will be invited as a guest at a Gala in Lexington, where one woman will receive the “Unapologetically Woman of the Year" Award.

We invite you to nominate an Unapologetic Woman from your circle of influence who resides in Kentucky, or you can self nominate. Nominations will close on March 31, 2021.
