A program assistant assists the Program Coordinator and Operations Manager in the implementation and evaluation of the Mobile Outreach Recovery Engagement (MORE) and performs basic administrative duties such as answering phone and email, filing, managing schedules, and data management. This position is grant funded until July 2022.

  • Maintain relationships with community partners in conjunction with our outreach program
  • Complete data entry into program management software and extract reported data as needed
  • Maintain and analyze data to support program reporting, and compliance for the MORE program based in Lexington and Louisville
  • Collect data and create reports for funding agencies
  • Provide direct support for the mobile outreach van in case of absence.
  • Support and advocate for harm reduction initiatives such as research, creation of educational materials, etc.
  • Attend meetings and other center activities to gather information on effectiveness
  • Suggest procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Advocate for the organization by presenting and adhering to current and new policies and protocols.
  • Generate power points, flyers, and other documents as directed
  • Maintain participant confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Experience with the addiction recovery process
  • Cross-cultural skills and experience with culturally diverse populations
  • Strong customer service ethic essential
  • An advocate for Voices of Hope’s mission and supporting the recovery community
  • Detail oriented and able to follow a task through completion taking ownership of the whole process
  • Flexible and eager to learn new tasks to ensure operations are maintained
  • A role model who demonstrates appropriate boundaries, clear communication, and incorporates the core values and principles of the organization.
  • A mentor that provides ongoing guidance and support, encouraging others with a strength based approach.
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 1 year clerical experience or Associates degree
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Polished written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid Driver’s license and insurance
  • Evening and weekend availability required
