Camp Information
Ellendale Country Club is offering Junior Golf Camps to local youth golfers. The program will center around teaching the game of golf to new and experienced junior golfers. Boys & Girls Ages 6-14 can participate. This program is open to members & non- members of Ellendale Country Club.
The instructional program will focus on the fundamentals of golf including: Grip, Setup, Posture, Alignment and Full-Swing Principles. Students will be quizzed on the rules of golf and course etiquette. They will also participate in daily contests with an emphasis on team play rather than individual achievement. Juniors will work on golf fundamentals in the morning, provided a lunch and then swim and play games for the remainder of the afternoon.
Safety will be a key issue for all participants and special guidelines will be followed by staff to help prevent accidents. These camps will be orchestrated by Devin Thomas, a Certified PGA Member with over 25 years of golf instruction experience. The camps are intended to provide basic fundamentals so that your children can determine if they would like to become more involved in the wonderful game of golf, a sport that can be played for a lifetime.
